Are there requirements to use Affirm?
Yes. You’ll need:
- To be the legal age of majority in the province or territory in which you reside
- To be a resident of Canada
- A Canadian Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover credit card, or a Visa or Mastercard debit card (with the Visa/Mastercard logo), which can be used for online transactions
- An SMS-capable Canadian phone number
- To meet the minimum cart size required to use Affirm as a payment option at checkout
Can I prepay my outstanding Affirm balance?

How do I make my payments?
At checkout, you can set up convenient, automatic pre-authorized payments that debit/charge your Canadian Visa/Mastercard debit/credit card. Available payment methods may vary depending on the payment plan selected.
How do I sign up?
The option will be presented at checkout. After confirming your phone number, you’ll be sent an SMS message to confirm your identity. You’ll then set up your payment method with Affirm and accept the terms of your payment plan.
How do returns work if I paid using Affirm?
Purchases made using Affirm are subject to Whole Body MRI’s standard return policy. Any returns will be processed by Whole Body MR, and your Affirm balance will be reduced, cancelled, or refunded accordingly. How does Affirm work?

How long does it take to reverse a pending Affirm authorization on my credit card?
Most authorizations are reversed within 24 hours, however this is ultimately up to your financial institution, and may take 5-10 business days to be reflected on your credit card statement.
How much can I spend with Affirm?
Affirm payment plans are available for orders from $500.

Unfortunately, Affirm is not able to provide payment plans to every applicant. This could be due to the information on your credit file, or because Affirm was not able to verify your identity or your payment method.

No, you will not be charged. If you’ve already made a payment to Affirm and are owed a refund this may take up to 5-10 business days to appear on your bank account or credit card statement. How do I make an appointment?
You have the option to either call us directly or book online, whichever is most convenient for you. To ensure a smooth booking process, we kindly request that payment be made at the time of booking through credit card. Please note that a requisition from your primary care physician is a necessary requirement. If you do not have one, don't worry! We can easily arrange for a referral from one of our esteemed physician partners. However, if we are unable to obtain a requisition from our partners, we will promptly refund you in full and assist you in rescheduling once the requisition is available.
How do I prepare for my study?
You will be asked to change into a gown and asked to remove any metal objects, eg. Hairpins, piercing, jewelry, watches, bracelets, bras, metal-based make-up or hearing aids. A locker will be provided to place your valuables in.
Are there any reasons why someone should not have an MRI scan?
MRI machines produce powerful magnetic fields. You may not be able to have an MRI if you have the following:
- Pacemaker
- Aneurysm clips
- Artificial heart valve
- Stents
- Cochlear implants
- Any non-MRI compatible metal-based prosthetic implants
What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
No Show/Refund policy: If you need to reschedule, you must do so 48 hours prior to appointment to avoid a charge.
If you fail to cancel or reschedule your appointment 48 hours prior, a $200.00 charge will be applied to the credit card on file.
If you fail to show for your appointment with no notice, you will be charged the full amount on your credit card on file.
Does OHIP or private insurance cover this test?
OHIP or private insurance companies do not cover the cost of this test nor are there any plans in the foreseeable future. We provide elective healthcare services, and our clinic offers competitive pricing and personalized care.
Do I still need to have my routine mammogram and/or colonoscopy?
This study does not replace your routine mammogram and/or colonoscopy. It is very important to have these tests performed on a routine basis.
Where do the studies get performed?
All studies are performed at Whole Body MRI clinics, either at their Mississauga or Ajax facility. Free parking is provided.
What percentage of customers typically receive an “all-good” result?
Most people have some form of abnormality or findings in their bodies. For instance, due to our sedentary lifestyles, where we spend a lot of time sitting in front of screens, almost everyone has some degree of spine degeneration. However, many of these findings are harmless, and it's essential to be aware of them when we are healthy so they aren't misinterpreted as something more serious later on. It's worth noting that less than 5% of individuals receive life-changing news.
What can I expect during my appointment?
When you have your examination, you will be asked to lie down on a table which will then slide into the MRI machine. The machine may make loud noises, but we can supply you with headphones or earplugs to help reduce the noise. If you feel claustrophobic, you can ask the doctor who referred you for sedative medication that is suitable for you.
How long is my appointment?
The Whole body MRI study takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes. You will need to arrive 30 minutes prior for screening and registration.
Is it safe to move while using the machine?
During the scan, we will do our best to ensure your comfort and minimize the need for movement. However, if you do happen to move, it won't compromise your safety. It may, however, impact the quality of the images we obtain. To achieve accurate results, we capture images of the same tissue in your body multiple times, from different angles and with varying tissue weightings. Any movement can disrupt this process and affect our ability to align the images, ultimately affecting the accuracy of our reading.
Who reads my scan?
Our reports are read by a Radiologist MD who completed their residency at the prestigious University of Toronto and a Clinical Fellowship at Harvard University, with more than 20 years experience in this field.
